Drawing on Ground considers the aesthetic potential of the surface of the Ground. the work aims to express the agency of Ground through a collaborative drawing method, between myself and the ground. The drawing mapped intricacies of the exposed soil atop the depth of the ground. Laying tracing paper on the exposed Ground and running graphite across the page to record its texture. This trace method demanded a close bodily proximity to the surface of the ground, tracing the features and rich texture of the site.
